Tunan Waterfall
Air Terjun Tunan is a scenic waterfall in Talawaan, North Minahasa, Sulawesi Utara, known for its 86-meter height, clear waters, and accessible trekking paths.
Location and Access
Air Terjun Tunan is located in Desa Talawaan, Kecamatan Dimembe, Kabupaten Minahasa Utara, Sulawesi Utara. It is approximately 12 kilometers (around 45 minutes by car) from Manado, making it easily reachable for day trips . The road to the waterfall is suitable for both cars and motorcycles, with well-maintained paths leading to the parking area . From the parking area, visitors can reach the waterfall via a short 15–20 minute walk along a path with uneven stones, which is relatively easy and suitable for most visitors
Natural Features
The waterfall has a height of about 86 meters, with water cascading down a sturdy rock cliff into a clear pool below . The main pool has a depth of approximately 1.5 meters, making it suitable for swimming for adults, while shallower areas are available for children under supervision . The surrounding forest is lush and provides a cool, refreshing atmosphere, enhancing the natural beauty and tranquility of the site .

Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities at Air Terjun Tunan, including:
